Default Simple bounce to Quicktime question

Hi,
First....
I don't do video.

Yesterday, a friend brought over a movie/video he had done for work.
We imported it into a PT session and started our task of cleaning up and syncing audio.

HD Native.
Mac Pro
Sierra
PT 12.0

Everything worked just great.

We wanted to bounce to Quicktime so he could take it back home and watch it.

We managed to have the movie bounce to the desktop, but when we try to play it, the video is fine, but there is no sound.

I know I am doing something embarrassingly wrong, but I don't know what that is until a few people tell me how stupid I am....which is totally fine.

Can anyone give me a place to start?

Thanks for any help.

So....

Tried the bounce to QT again, this time with audio as MP3...
Movie plays back like a champ. With sound.

Any idea why I can't accomplish the same with WAV audio?
I have a thick skin......

Maybe this video's container or codec just doesn't support Wav audio. You don't give any clue about it, so it's hard to figure out...

I'll start with baby steps of what I know:

Video was shot on an iPhone. (Looks great)
We imported video into 24bit 44.1 PT session.
Video frame rate is 30. (As evidence from the display in PT video track)

I tried to bounce to QT a few times.
No sound.
After trying MP3 for Audio, it worked.

Are there any specific bits of information I can gather and post back?
I don't know what "Container or Codec" means.

I'm kind of dumb...
I just make records for people...

Just because PT shows 30fps that may only be the overall frame rate. Most phones use variable frame rate when recording video so that may be a problem. Plays havoc in some video editors. Best way is to convert it in something like Handbrake.

Default Simple bounce to Quicktime question

If it was shot on an iPhone it’s either H264 or H265.

If you open the file in QuickTime you can choose to see the properties of the file and it should tell you that info.
