Invalid link to download patch for Pro Tools LE 7.4

Hello,

In our computer lab, we have this exact problem here where it requires an admin password as a restricted user when they insert a USB flash drive or any USB mass storage device:

The problem is, the download link that it references does not exist on the page, at least from what I can see.


Also, I found reference on these forums to this link:

and it redirects to the avid home page?


Any help would be appreciated.

Small comfort, but I see exactly what you see (don't see?). There were beaucoup bad links following the website redo to Avid branding. Looks like you found another rabbit hole! You may have to wait for DTS to pick this one up, unless someone recalls the direct answer.

I gotta ask, though... the reference in the kb article is to XP SP2. Is that the patch level in your lab, and if so, have you tested on a SP3 machine? My guess is it won't matter, but...

Bob L, thanks for confirming that I am not crazy. Yeah we used to have SP2 originally and manually installed SP3. When we reimaged, we used SP3 and still had the same problem. I am guessing that the patch will still work with SP3.
