At least you can get to the old compato from there...

I tried to use the new "search support" this morning, and gave up -- what kind of search engine are they using? If the goal of the support part of the site is to enable users to find information, wow, what a failure --

...and I know how hard it is to do this right -- I have had my hand in much smaller sites with a fraction of the complexity... and it's NEVER easy. But that's why some guys get the bigger bucks...

:-(

While the Marketing directors are playing shuffleboard with chunks of ice on the upper deck, down below the poor immigrants are trying to get results.

I was setting up my Digidelivery today (Saturday) when I was prompted to get client software upgrades which were strongly suggested.
So I clicked ok.

The link took me
here

What do I have to do sort through all the possibilities?
Not to mention that I'm still on Safari 1.2.4.

Oh yea I forgot. I'm just an immigrant.

Another one for the old site. This one is too convoluted.

We all have these wonderful (multiple?) big screens (anyone here less than 20"?) and the new site creates a little "TV screen from 1950" image with some space below it, wherein all "activity" has to take place.

OK the Support Search makes me laugh. Just to test it out, I typed in "Tab to transient" and selected Answerbase and OS X in the selector boxes underneath. It didn't surprise me much when I got Results 0-0, but I love the helpful prompt:

"Did you mean tab to transient platformkw digisupkw_answerbase "

I was so tickled I clicked on it, wondering if perhaps that's what I did mean, and I got:

Results 0-0
Did you mean tab to transfer platformkw digisupkw_answerbase

which led to 3 articles about Optical inputs to the 192 and 3 about hardware buffer errors on Windows XP,

none of which could have been deduced by looking at the arcane information displayed in the search results.

Hoping to keep the thread alive until there is a response from Digi.
