Default WTB:Apple Mac Pro 2.66 or 2.8 Xeon Intel Desktop

If you happen to have a 2009 or newer Apple Intel Xeon-based Mac Pro, which included processors with speeds of up to 3 GHz, quad or 8 core computer you are not using, I'd appreciate hearing from you.
Neanderthal series would be great!

2.66 or 2.8 GHz Quad Intel Xeon would be just fine.
In need of one with the four PCIe expansion slots of Protools PCie cards.

Totally you're call but I'd make sure it was a 2009 or newer nehalem. Nothing really changed in the models since then. So they'll be supported longer. And the hyperthreading is nice to have.

And fwiw I found a good deal on 2009 4.1 model from eBay for $500. Looked like new. It was a quad 2.66 w/4 GB of ram. I found a 3.2 hexacore processor and 24 GB of ram. Upgraded to the 5.1 firmware and have a smoking machine for less than $1000.
