PT7.cs8 crashes when there is not enough DSP

I`m mixing on PT7 right now and whenever I ran out of dsp with plugins or too many tracks protools unexpectly quits... every time!! digi? what could that be?

I`m on PT7.1cs8 OSX 10.4.6 all latest plugins versions...

i had sort of the same problem in cs 7 - one guy wrote this in reply

"I used to get these all the time too, so I went back to Pro Tools 7.0, trashed all prefs & apple.com.HitBox pref & now I'm rarely getting crashes at all."

i didi not go back to pt 7.0 but uninstalled pt 7.1 cs7 and did a clean fresh install in addition to above - it worked

Hi Pete,

First thing to do is follow the troubleshooting thread.....

You shouldn't be getting quits like this! usually you'll get a message saying you have no DSP left or you'll get a reshuffle etc.
