S6 and Aviom
What's the best way to route 16 discreet lines to our Aviom headphone system? Using PT with 32 I/O, I would normally set this up in the I/O prefs.
Thanks. |

Re: S6 and Aviom
You would still set this up in Pro Tools, your template and the IO Setup. What are you monitoring through on the S6 - XMON?

Re: S6 and Aviom
Yes. Monitoring through the Xmon. I normalled the 8 cue outs to the first 8 inputs of the Aviom. The cues work, but do not show up as 8 discreet outputs from the Xmon. That sound right?
Thanks for the advice. r |

Re: S6 and Aviom
XMON features 3 stereo Cues. For your workflow I would probably recommend simply creating sends in your Pro Tools template to feed to the 8 discrete inputs to the AVIOM. XMON can receive custom mixes from PT on 3 stereo inputs which can be assigned and attenuated from the MTM monitor section but yes they are stereo.

Re: S6 and Aviom
Thanks Jeff. Got the Aviom inputs going. Can I re-map the input sources for Mon C and D?
Monitor A and B are good with CR, Cue 1-3 and Talk. The Xmon guide tells us that Mon C and D input sources can be the same, but I'm missing the part where I can add them. Right now Mon C is CR, Cue 1 and Talk, Mon D is CR, Cue2 and talk. I'm on version 2.2.0.241 Thanks again. |

Re: S6 and Aviom
So here's how the monitor section on S6 is setup for XMON:
MON A: Engineer Headphones: Can be fed from: Mains, Cue 1, Cue 2, Cue 3 (optional TB) MON B: SLS: Can be fed from: Mains, Cue 1, Cue 2, Cue 3 (optional TB) MON C: Cue 1: Can be fed from : Mains, Cue 1 (optional TB) MON D: Cue 2: Can be fed from: Mains, Cue 2 (optional TB) MON E: Cue 3: Can be fed from: Mains, Cue 3 (optional TB) Monitor C is always CUE1 which can only be fed from Main Mix or CUE1 external input. Monitor D is always CUE2 which can be fed from Main Mix or CUE2. You can optionally swap MON D & E in XMON software so you can control CUE3. Hope this helps. Jeff Quote:
