MP9 audio routing
I am looking to buy a new DAW and considering MP9 which I would be using with an m-audio 1010. I need one specific question answering and can't seem to find a clear yes/no answer. Is it possible with this kit, and without buying any more plug-ins, to play back 4 channels of recorded audio, send them to outboard processors (FX boxes, modular synth, etc) and receive the result in order to record it? An extra set of 4 outs would then go to the amp.
And an extension to this: can I play 4 mono instruments, record those tracks in mp9 while simultaneously having 4 outputs go to outboard processors and return on 4 separate audio channels in order to record them? This means I am recording 8 tracks: 4 dry and 4 wet. The output to the amplifier can be either the 4 wet tracks or the 4 dry tracks. I know the m-audio 1010 has enough ins and outs, but I can't work out how the software handles it. Thank you for your help. Best regards, Charles |
