I see in the digidesign downloads that there is a getting started and a basics guide, both of which came w/ the 002, but is there a full user's manual available? Or can you recommend a good user's guide like visual quickstart?

There's a link at the top of every forum page to the Technical Documents - all manuals etc. can be found there.

There are Visual QuickStart Guides for Pro Tools 5 and 6 listed in the Books section of the Education link in the DUC header:

I'm not aware of a Visual QuickStart Guide yet for Pro Tools 7, but there is a lot of good stuff on that Education page, and a lot of them are free online links.
