Default Plugin auth weirdness - guest iLok prevents internal iLok?

Something weird with iLoks - FOH rack (fairly early model with original blue key-shaped iLok), guest engineer with new black iLok. With the guest iLok plugged in, the internal iLok fails to authorize all the basic plugins (revibe, et. al). Unplug the guest iLok and all is well.

Loaded most recent Pace drivers on the system.

Any ideas?

Hmm... last time we had the internal iLok out and connected to the Pace website was probably a few months ago.

I have your exact same setup...original iLok inside the VENUE and new iLok outside. Seems to work fine...

I've seen my fair share of ilok weirdness.. Nothing really surprises anymore. Just try to unplug-reconnect them and hopefully they will start acting nice that's all I can say. On my studio side I moved all onto one of these new iloks and that resolved most issues for the studio, but you need to be able to run a guest ilok on Venue thats for sure. If everything fails try to swap the internal out for the new one as well.

One more thing to check are the plugs installed by guests. There is all sorts of weird stuff they put on your system starting from too old versions up to corrupt installers. Been there done that and these may end up being show-stoppers in worst case cenario.

The guest engineer *has* had a fair bit of trouble on other consoles. But changing our original iLok is a good idea, may do that just to be safe.
