Pro Tools kills system sound??

I have a strange issue I am not sure how to fix. After I boot up and use Pro Tools, and then exit Pro Tools, the System Sound on my PC no longer works (The little click sounds when I double click a folder or icon). The only workaround is to logoff and log back in or reboot. Anyone else have this problem? I realize it is hardly essential but It is kind of strange.

Other audio apps (like Live Lite) still have sound, and if i restart Pro Tools it still has sound, but Windows Media Player and iTunes do not have sound. Any suggestions?

If you go to the Start->Control Panel->Sounds and Audio Devices->Audio Devices
Default device set to?

It is set to "M-Audio Delta AP Multi"

You may wish to set your default system audio device to something other
than your M-audio hardware ..

There are a number of not-so-cool things which can happen if your m-audio
DAW hardware is also the same hardware which Windows uses to play that
wonderful song that sounds like Bill Gates sucking money from your
checking account ;-)
