Pro Tools 11 MIDI input problem.

Try to go to Pro Tools Preferences->MIDI->Default Thru Instrument and set it to "First Selected MIDI Track".

See if that works for you.

Who are you responding to? If it's me then I have that already selected. Thing is when I click in the timeline ruler ALL tracks get selected so nothing is playable from my MIDI controller. I have to click inside a track to select just that one in order to play it from my controller keyboard.

Should work in both but we really need more info like computer setup (hardware & operating system), what's the controller, exact versions of ProTools, etc.

What type of tracks are you using? What virtual instruments (or are you using external instruments)? What exactly isn't working? Notes, controllers like knobs, etc.?
