Default HD Native on an XP system
Anyone try to run an HD native card on an XP system? I know PTHD9 wont work on it but I was curious if the card would run. I am thinking of setting up and dual boot disk that runs XP and 7 but when I am in XP mode, I would like to have access to the HD Native card. Thanks for your help!

While XP is not supported, it has worked for some so I would feel free to try it(just have a backup plan in place before this or any upgrade/system change). IIRC, HD/Native originally shipped with 8.0.5, so that may work on XP as well. My honest and best advice is to dump XP and go Win 7 all the way.

I have a few things that work on XP that wont work on 7. But I am going to do the dual boot disk and see what happens. Thanks!!

I run PT 9.0.5 on my aged Acer 1690 with XP pro SP3 and a FW 1814 + Octane Preamp. Just did a liverecording with 16 tracks last weekend with NO problems @ all.
But you might run into problems with some plug ins.
