High Sierra
With Avid’s approval, I decided to take the plunge over the holiday break and upgrade-in-place to macOS 10.13.2 from 10.12.6. This was pretty much a non-event, no major stumbling blocks and no perceivable difference in performance. If anything, PT is a bit faster and the Finder is a bit faster. All my plugins are fine, AJA video is fine, and all my third party apps are fine. Minor display preferences bugs were fixed, and the switch to APFS sounded scary but wasn’t. I did trash all PT prefs and Workspaces during the upgrade.
Mac Pro 6,1 PT 12.8.1 before the upgrade PT 12.8.3 after upgrade

Re: High Sierra
Wow - brave. Pleased it has all been seamless for you. Will be watching this space as Yosemite (old faithful) getting long in the tooth now....

Re: High Sierra
Two thoughts:
-my system is PTHD Native, and maybe not as elaborate as others on this list. -macOS 10.12.5 and PT 12.8.1 were a great combination, with only a couple of annoying bugs. Besides the mono-mult bug and some Atmos enhancements, I had very little reason to update.

Re: High Sierra
I am HDX, but no Atmos for me, only 5.1. 12.8.2 on Yosemite is graphically buggy. To be expected as not supported.

Re: High Sierra
I upgraded as well. After few days it feels fine and PT HD12.8.3 is rock solid.
Everything works fine including video out of AJA LHi with newer Aja's drivers. There are still few annoying visual glitches with tracks sizes when moving clips across them. Starting from PT 12.8.2 I have more frequent appearing of "Increase Buffer Size" message even on 1 track, no video most basic session. Rewire works fine. Though SoundMiner didn't support the font it has been set up for years, so I had to change it to another font from a preference's long list. Exponential Audio, DMG, Fabfilter, The Cargo Cult (incl Conformalizer) and Avid plugs function normally. Cedar is perfect too with my iLok auth. My D-Command communicates with PT just fine.
