Max length for Firewire cable?
I only realy need it to copy from clients drives onto the studios SCSI hotswap drives..
Once - to get session on Once at end - to put session back onto clients FW drives So no real '64 tracks at once' accesss needed. Max known length please! TIA [img]images/icons/smile.gif[/img] |

The spec says 4.5 meters but that can usually be stretched by a bit.

Granite Digitial says that its custom cables can double the recomended length. I believe they have cables up to 32'. Of course by adding a firewire hub you can extend an additional 32' (or whatever the maximum that they have is.) Check out thier site. Dave P
