Default Open Old PT Files(1-5) in PT 9

I have created a lot of files in PT 5 running OS 9 on a Power Mac G-4. I currently have PT 9.06 running on a MacBook Pro with OS 10.8.5. I have an Mbox Fast Track Pro. I would like to make some changes and additions to the original files. To do this I open the old file on my Macbook Pro and change the session file to have a .pts extension. When I double click on it the file opens and the session file appears with both the edit and mix window. But of course the audio files which are unix files will not open so in the edit window the tracks are there but greyed out.

Is this impossible to do? I still have my G-4 and PT 5. Is there a way I can go back to the G-4 open the sessions and save it or export it another way so that it will open up in PT 9? I am open to anything that works no matter how complicated it is.
