Default Any other way to set up Akai pads?

I have a weird issue. Trying to control EZ Drummer 2 with an Akai MPD218 pad. It is connected and set up in Midi Studio and selected in Input devices. All drivers for MPD218 software.

It works fine in PT10 but I cannot get it work at all in PT11 or 12. Is there some other setting that has to be set. I am not too versed on using this type of pad and I only use it to create drum patterns for EZ Drummer but I have been all over the internet and even contact Akai who said it should work in any version of DAW.They ran me through the set up for PT and it only works in PT10.

Does anyone have one of these that can help me through?

I use a Windows PC that is more than capable of running anything. This is the only piece of gear that I can't figure out to make it work in 11 & 12.

Thanks

Subscribed, Akai pads are a real pita for me too.

When you say you can't get it to work at all what do you mean? That it won't trigger sounds in EZD? Does EZD work at all in PT11 & 12? If not make sure that you have the aax64 format version of EZ Drummer installed. That it works okay in PT10 says that at least the MPD & EZD are communicating. Problem may be that PT10 is the last that uses RTAS format plugs; it does use aax32 format plugs as the aax format was introduced in PT10.
