Default Channel State of Multi-Mono Plug-in

Does anyone know of a way to have the channel state of a multi-mono plug-in "stick"?

For example, I like to use Fabfilter Q-2 on a 5.1 Dialog or Narration Aux, but it defaults to the Left channel every time I re-open the plugin.

For plugins without visual feedback it's fine, but for dynamics with metering or anything with a spectrum analyzer it's annoying to have to switch the center channel every time that re-open the plugin.

Thoughts?
