Default Korg KP3 wont receive note off from Pro Tools

This is a problem I have had since I got it just over a year ago, but I haven't used its sampler much so kind of forgot about it.

When I record the midi from the sample pads into Pro Tools, it all sounds fine when recording, but when I play the recorded midi back the KP3 is not receiving any note off info back from Pro Tools (both loop and one shot samples). This is really frustrating as I would obviously like to sequence the simple but fairly effective sampler but this renders it utterly useless. Everything else works as it should with Pro Tools (recording midi data from the x/y pad), but this has me stumped.

Has any one else had this problem?

Any If anyone knows why this is happening I would be very grateful to hear why and how to sort it out.

Cheers in advance.
