MBOX 2 vs. USB (Pro Tools Aggregate)
Is it better to use a device like an MBOX 2 vs. Pro Tools Aggregate via USB as my Playback Engine?
I'm fairly new to Pro Tools 10 and wondering if the playback of my recording doesn't sound as good as when I'm actually playing because of the hardware or if it's related more to my inexperience with the software. The degradation is particularly noticeable when using headphones or speakers other than the Bose Quiet Comfort 15 headphones I use when recording. Perhaps they're not a good reference "speaker" as well? Yamaha S08, Ivory II, MacBook Pro 15" w/SSD (512GB) |

Re: MBOX 2 vs. USB (Pro Tools Aggregate)
If you are using an Mbox 2, the best driver to use is the Mbox 2 one and not the aggregate. As far as Bose headphones go, they aren't known for accuracy.
