Pro Tools HD12 HD Driver Destroyed 10HD Install [resolved]
Hey guys,
Running 12 and 10HD on the same system (TDM HD3 for 10, and Native for 12HD). Everything on our rig was working perfectly as of last night at 2am, and I updated the latest 12 installs including the HD Driver last. This morning, our HD rig is dead. Audio sputters and stutters or spits out digital hash, and no sessions play. HD10 plays fine if it's running native, but not through the HD3 rig anymore… Has this new HD Driver damaged something on the system drive? Where do I find it, and how do I get rid of it? I've already deleted everything I can find related to PT12HD, but I'm sure there's still lots of things I'm missing. I have a backup, but it's from a couple months ago and several things have been installed since then. I'd much rather find out what caused this and remove it then go back to this old backup. Does anyone have any idea what's happened? Thanks! Sig Edit - it appears that AVID specifically states to NOT install this driver if you're on HD TDM…ugh…I was just trying to update whatever was shown on the Application Manager…lesson learned. Ran the 12.1 HD Driver uninstaller and all is back to normal! Last edited by Siegfried Meier; 07-12-2015 at 10:11 PM. |
