Hi Miss Deana,

I have no idea about the New Thread button (maybe disable AdBlock?) but I do have an answer for the second question.

There are two possibilities here: you can either export the entire song as a single stereo file for mastering, or you can make each track its own file for the length of the song so you can send it to a mix engineer who does not use Pro Tools. Note: if your mix engineer does use Pro Tools, then talk with him to make sure you are not using any plug-ins he doesn't have. If he has everything you have, then you should send him the whole session folder.

Option 1: To make each track the same length as the song: Use the cursor to select all the material in the edit window. Drag your selection for the entire length of the song, across all tracks. Then choose Edit > Consolidate Clips. Then go to your Clip List and export all the selected clips. Turn your volume down before viewing this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l0QUXsNqR2M

Option 2: To export a stereo file of the whole song for mastering: Select the length of the song, then choose File > Bounce to Disk. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=76F1QtUeCT4

the pro tools rental this is more expensive in the long run.
It's pretty easy to get a full license of Pro Tools 10/11/12 for under $270.00
Avid charges $30/ month for PT 12 and you don't get 10/11.
So if your stuck on an older system or have v.10 only RTAS plugins the rental thing is not going to work out for anyone that needs an older version.
