Default help

I installed protools 10 and 11 and found that I can only open 10 if avid effects for 11 was uninstalled...what am I doing wrong cause it doesn't seem that anyone has this issue....is the folder supposed to go somewhere else or combined with the aved effects 10.3.6 /....im totally lost

Looking in my control Panel>Programs and Features, There are two entries of Avid Effects showing. One for v10.3.6 & one for v11.

I followed Avids recommendation of completely uninstalling earlier version of Pro Tools (I always run a registry cleaner after doing so). I then ran the 10.3.6 installer followed by 11 installer and was up & running in no time.

So, did you uninstall previous version of PT?
