Default Glitch with pan controls with MC Mix

I am experiencing glitchy pan knob behavior with my MC Mix
Whilst touching the touch sensitive buttons for PAN control the display jitters between the PAN value and the standard graphic. The actual PAN function is also jumpy.
This is in a session that has been migrated from PT8.
Is this the problem?
Should I import all session data from the older PT8 session into a new PT9 session?

Cheers
