What are your favorite speakers/monitors that you have used for mixing and sound design in post?

Been looking at M-Audio BX8's but wanted to hear your alls opinions.

Thanks!

Monitors are personal, you need to try them out to see what you like, and what translates for you.

Just wait, you'll get a dozen different replies.

For smallish monitors, I'm loving the Equator Audio D5's. To my ear, they beat the Genelec 8130's. They have recently released the larger D8's, too.

I heard the JBL 305's at guitar Center the other day and the amount if bass coming from those little guys was impressive

They also have the 308's

305's $150
308's $250

Speech - LS3/5a

Music - Tannoy DMT 12

Regrettably both are no longer being made and go for ridiculous prices on ebay. I'm glad I got them years ago.
