I would do the trashing of prefs and databases and make sure you download the latest ILM from www.ilok.com and restart after each process. Then please let us know what happens.

FWIW, Melodyne is working fine here(Windows) in 2018.3, 2018.7 and now in 2018.10. And, a little birdy told me(please don't ask) that ARA is a possibility in the future

Happy to report that did the trick. I don't think the trashing prefs helped but the iLok Interdriver thing (and then updating the iLok License Manager) seems to have done it. But I also uninstalled and reinstalled Melodyne too, so not sure if maybe that was it.

Thanks for the help. Still might look into ReVoice etc. though for the stuff that it's good for.

Just picked up Melodyne Essentials for $49 on Black Friday sale and will upgrade to Assistant or Editor once I get a feel for Essentials.

Upgrade to Assistant very recommended, Essentials hasn't much of the magic of Melodyne.
