Default Bounced to disk files on desktop dissappear?

Pro TOOLS 6.7 LE with mac G5, 1.8GH
When I bounce a mix to disk and want to save it to my desktop, I see the file for a few seconds then it just dissappears. If I search for the file I can't seem to find it anywhere. Has anyone got a fix for this bug? Thanks for looking.
Mylar
