upgrading from Pro Tools 11 to 2019.12

Hey all, a layman question -

I'd like to upgrade from Pro Tools 11 (latest version) to 2019.12,
so it'll be compatible with Catalina.
I couldn't figure out how much does it cost, and how to do that.

I owe Pro Tools 11 perpetual, and wouldn't mind to switch to a monthly plan.

Any tips?

Reinstatement to a permanent license asset plan is $299 US which gets you a year of updates and support. If you want that then hurry because reinstatements go away at the end of this year. On a monthly plan when you stop paying then PT stops working at the end of the month you're paid up to.


There are different ways of getting a reinstatement plan. You could go through the Avid store or a reseller like Sweetwater.

GSharp on ebay is the way to go.
However take in mind that PT 11 is the last version that is free from the annoying bug about the sample rounding error on midi clips.
