Advice needed on HD888

i am thinking of upgrading my HD 3 accel systems convertors..., i use the old 96 box , but i do have an apogee rosetta 200 that the 96 syncs to and the D-A is done thru it and most of the A-D , since i hardly never record more then 2 tracks at once at my mixing studio...
i am planing to relocate to the states in the next 6 month and i need this set up with me...but since i don't want to take too many things i am wondering should i just drop the rosetta and make the cross grade to the new HD 888 interface..
how good is it really - compared to the convertors on the Rosetta?
i do not want to go omni cause somehow it seems less Pro then the 888...and i dont want to use digi pre's....
Any thoughts?

The Omni has the same converters as the HD I/O 8x8.

Yes, and the pres in it are quite nice, but you don't have to use them if you don't want to, you can just use the line ins of those channels with your outboard pres.
