replacing fans on expansion chassis - what spec??
Hi can annyone from digi advise me on how I can replace the extremly noisy fans of the BIT7 7 slot expansion case with less noisy ones. Specifically I am thinking of replaceing them with the following.
"Papst Silent Case Fans" from silent PC products - Is this possible ie will it still provide adequate cooling.? |

Re: replacing fans on expansion chassis - what spec??
If you find the brand and model number of the fans presently in your chassis, you can look up those specs, and see if the fans you plan on replacing them with have the same air movement specs. If so, you're in luck.
Cooling is important for long life, and reliable performance, so it's a good idea not to compromise here. Once out of warranty, getting cards repaired is also not cheap. A machine room is the best bet. Lee Blaske |
