STRIKE! Corrupt VISUAL display/ Fix?

Thanks a million! Sweetcare had told me it was! I'll go back to the Digi site and download the latest driver. I'm not sure how much of it is Strike and how much is my Windows system with HyperThread CPU (which is at 100% often.) I get my new MacBook Pro tomorrow and look forward to reloading everything into a cleaner system!

K. A little confusing because v1.0.1cs2 IS the latest update for PC. But 1.0.2 is the most recent one for Leapord. Downloading the former has not helped my problems with Strike on the PC. I'm currently downloading the 1.0.2 and will let you know how it goes on my new MacBook Pro. I'm kinda giving up on the problems on my PC. Nobody (in support) seems to know what the heck is going on!!

I have been the experiencing the same problem running Pro Tools 8 LE with 003 and quad core. I downloaded the latest version of Strike as well and NO JOY! Still yellow...

Are you running Snow Leopard on your Mac. If so, you will get a yellow display until the AIR Group updates the AIR plugs.

Im having the same issue i spent all day trying to uninstall and reinstall strike because of the same problem (i ordered strike from digi (strike 7.4 rev. B according to box) and recently received it). When i try to uninstall it after ive completely removed strike from my hard drive (even the updates) it says in the install window: unable to install because an updated version is present. The window in strike is bright yellow and whenever you highlight or click anything it blurs and is illegible. Even the sounds that i had tweaked for a project at school are completely different. Doesn't make any sense. I've updated/ reinstalled/ uninstalled/ rinse and repeat. Ive also read the duc and searched for a few hours for an answer. I am running an 8core mac pro with 2.26 ghz and 8 gb of ram, i am running mac os x 10.6.1.

actually i just found out that mac os 10.6 is snow leopard and to buy leopard is like 150 dollars!!! What is up with that, the new snow leopard os is like 30 bucks. Im screwed cause i just bought this mac pro and have no way to downgrade. Anyone have any ideas?

i also heard the 8.0.3 upgrade for compatibility issues with pro tools 8 has a downside to it. You have to reauthorize your licenses and it requires an ilok client update. Problem is that this update for the ilok is about fifty bucks. Although this is what i heard from some people that have updated i have a major issue with this. Once again any input from anyone?

OK. I should chime in here having resolved ALMOST all of my strike difficulties by canning my old PC and buying anew MacBook Pro.

You do NOT need to downgrade your operating system.

#1 - Have you download Strike version 1.0.2? If not, go to DIGI site and download. That will fix the yellow interface, EVEN on SL. I'm running all good.

I didn't have to do anything to my iLok account to download PT 8.0.3.

I'm happy user except for this one weird volume drop anomaly that I've discussed on other threads.....
