Default IO Limits? Changes in 2020?

Couldn't find info elsewhere... For Pro-Tools Native (is it still called Vanilla?) the I/O limit has always been capped at 32. Not just any 32, but the first 32, which has been one of the deal killers for me.

However, after installing 2020, I'm able to see and select beyond 32 I/O for both inputs and outputs.

Is this a change... or a Bug?

Sorry if I missed this somewhere...

It seems to be true...I could get 40 inputs into pro tools...wow. I don’t know what’s the limit now, I have only tried with 40.

If this is actually working, the only thing I fear is that they switch it back off because it was a mistake....
