I cannot completely remove Mbox 3 mini drivers after several guides.

I'm a little peeved at the moment, I can't uninstall these drivers. I've used Avid's uninstaller, followed guides, but nothing.

Mac

I uninstalled everything you could imagine to do with avid, as soon as I plug the mbox mini 3 back in it just works, like something is lingering. It doesn't even manually install the driver again, it simply works.

Windows 8

I can't even search Avid Mbox, there is no sign of it on my computer, but when I plug it in it just works again.

I wan't this gone because it may conflict with my new apogee duet. Please help me find whatever is lingering in the background.

I can't help you with Mac, but try this for Windows 8. Go to Control Panel, then Device Manager. You may have to expand a lot of the categories, but hopefully you can find the Mbox device. Then click on it and go to the Drivers Tab. There you should be able to uninstall or disable the Driver.

For Mac there is an uninstaller app on the Mbox driver package you download. That is the correct way to unsinstall the driver.

If that does not work you can manually delete the driver from /System/Library/Extensions and the Mbox systems preference panel from /System/Library/PreferencePanes. But OTOH leaving all this stuff installed should not cause any problems.
