H-Town is waiting for the Rockets to put another beat-down on the Spurs (not Tottenham for you UK guys) tonight.

There is not a month out of the year that I don't use the A/C for at least a few days, with the humidity we have here. (Tip: don't leave a garbage can full of crawfish shells/heads in the garage for a few days until garbage pickup day). Only place worse that I have lived is New Orleans.

Update:
Been doing stretching (gliding) exercise therapy on a mostly daily basis and along with sleeping with a wrist brace for the first month things have gotten a lot better. I now have most of the feeling back on a consistent basis in my fingers (thumb/index/middle) as long as I don't do anything too strenuous with the right hand. Been mousing with my left hand using a Logitech that is a righty model but fits me perfectly lefthanded. It has what for a righty two thumb buttons but I disabled those in the control s/w. From time to time I'll go righty with it but not for long.

Actually I've gotten pretty good at doing things left handed and about the only thing I can't do is sign anything lefty.

I have what appears to be permanent damage (or is it thickened skin) on the outer edge of my thumb away from the fingers which is probably due to stressing it over the years. Surprisingly I can hold on to a guitar pick no problem but have had to change the way I grip my drumsticks; I can still play matched grip but thumb position has changed.

I use the Kensington Expert Mouse trackball, but ditched the detachable wrist rest. This works for me:

"The WaveRest Mouse Pad ... features a foam wrist rest that increases comfort and helps to reduce the chance of repetitive motion injuries. It is an excellent solution for anyone who uses a computer and is concerned about carpal tunnel syndrome."

You can get those at Staples. And if you already have a mouse pad, just get the wrist rest without the mouse pad attached.
