Default Problem Inserting Time

Hi; So when I insert time, I lose some of my editing functions. For example, with the main tool I can only select the beginning of each bar.
What am I doing wrong?

Anyone have this problem or know a solution? If I reboot the session, all functions return.

Are you sure you aren't in grid mode? Or holding ctrl down (or is it locked down some other way) that put it to grid? Or Shift + F4?

I am in grid. But I can only select the first beat of each bar, not beat 2 or 3, etc..
if I close the session and open it, every thing is ok. It’s just when I insert time that I lose that functionality.

Doesn’t really make a difference, but let’s say eight notes. I can’t click on anything except one.
