Default D-command layout?

I can't find this info anywhere but maybe someone knows.
I'm considering a D-command at this point but was wondering if the layout is flexible.
Meaning: The control portion of the console is to the right and if I were to install D -command with an additional 16 channels could I put them to the right of the basic configuration? There's no way in my control room I would want clients sitting on my left between me and my FX & pre racks, let alone the patch bay.
Any info on this would be great,
thanx

Yes, you can install the D-command fader expansion on either side of the main unit. Basically, you'll either have 24 faders together with the "center section" controls on the far right or you'll have 8 faders-center section-16 faders. It's a matter of preference, but you can do it either way. You CAN'T change the position of the 8 faders of the main unit though.
