Another stupid question.Pros,help me,please.
Can I use two Control24s simultaneously?
Geez,I don't have $40,000 to pay for 48-channel extended ProControl.

Thank you.

Wow. I'm surprised no one answered this. I'm a novice PT user, but the Digi info. on the C24 was that it is NOT expandable. If someone has or does figure out a way to do what you suggest, I too would be interested in hearing about it ASAP.

HalleluYah! Praise Yah!

The C24 itself is not expandable, but I'm pretty sure more than one can be used together with one Pro Tools system -- just like one can use more than one HUI, etc. In Setups -> Ethernet Controllers -> there are several spots to be filled in... If someone offers to bring his Control|24 over to my place we can plug 'em both in and report back what happens... Heh.

As an aside, how cool would a Control|16 (or something like that) be -- basically just a Control|24 but shortened, with just 16 more faders/channel strips, no transport control, no analog I/O, etc. -- with the same profile of the C|24 so it would sit right next to the C|24... and sell it for around $2500... That would be sweet.

No doubt!

Alas, I'm in the Northwest; and your studio is far, far away.

I'd imagine you can run two side by side but they would just be a mirror of each other.

Surely the task of pressing a button to skip up tracks is not too much to ask!!

Do you really need 48 channels physically in front of you?

Did anyone ever test this- joining 2 contol24s? I have been wanting to try this for years, but I thought by now SOMEONE would have tried it.

Please, I'm not trying to be a smart ass here, just making an observation. Why would you need two when it banks for over 100 channels? I understand that it would be nice to have all those faders at once but it's just a button push to get to the next set of channels. Will that work for you?

Thanks Scott- Good to know that it is out of the question, guess I have to mortgage the house for an Icon, for those faders. To the other Scott- yes, I have been using the bank button, and it is almost wore out. Weather I like it or not, I seem to get more mixes through the door with 70-90 tracks, and I just hate all that banking. I know I need to get up with the times, but so far, I still like mixing on the SSLs with a fader for each track. I am finally mixing in the box, but I can only get over one hurdle at a time...

Try the Behringer BCF 2000. $200 or less for eight motorized control surface faders. Has Baby HUI emulation works via USB port. You can gang together several of these.
