Default goodbye Pro tools

After reading these boards and doing all the required troubleshooting and optimizing I have come to the conclusion that this worthless software is no longer worth anymore of my time.
I have now moved on to Cubase LE and for some reason I have no issues running it, no optimizing my computer, no troubleshooting and no stupid errors.
I know Avid already got my money and don't care but I have 3 friend who almost went out to buy this worthless software and told to them it was a COMPLETE waste of money considering that it doesn't work on ANY computer I own and I own 4 of them.
F U Avid, Eff your tech supports generic "not supported" answers and Eff your worthless software. Sorry but it seems Steinberg got it right. Maybe you should ask them for help on creating a useable recording software.

GOODBYE.

I forgot my old username and password so I had to create a new one.

I posted about a year ago about the errors and the response I got was "search for the errors your having and read the other post" and I don't even think my Sandra got looked at.

After reading the other post with the same issue and the advice that was given it didn't seem to work.

I am having the same problem that many other people are having with the Interrupt error 9092, 9093. I can't get 5 seconds into a session before the error pops up recording or play back.

I will post the 2 computers Sandras that I would mainly be working with and I'm sure I'll be getting the same answer as the others "not supported".

I already spent to much time and money trying to get this to work and am not putting more into it.
Like I said I am using Cubase and have not had a issue yet.
I do this as a hobby not professionally so regardless of the out come I will use what works.

Have you tried to do a fresh/clean install of Windows 7 on any of your computers, then go through the computer optimization,
and finally install PT and only PT ?

I had many issues and error messages some months ago. Based on what DTS suggested I did a clean install of Windows 7
it solved everything.

I think it would be worth trying befor looking at getting another computer based on the I7 thread.
I dont know if HP Pavilion or Dell XPS is the best choices for PT ?

Also worth taking into account is that every new version of PT has become more stable,
with PT10 being the most stable. Atleast for me.

I have done a clean install of Windows 7 on the dell but have not reinstalled pro tools due to me getting the errors before and didn't want to beat a dead horse.
On the Xp machine I have reinstalled XP and PT 2 times in the last 4 months and no results.

I'm not going to buy another computer for PT. I already spent to much on 2 others ( pre PT not knowing I have to have a "special" computer}

My version of PT is LE 8.0.1 and when I try to update it says I have the latest update. I'm not giving Avid any more of my money.

For what it's worth...

The only boxed PC I'd ever buy for any DAW is a Mac. Maybe an XPC or Rain, but they are extremely overpriced, and overrated in my experience (and my opinion).

As far as the regular consumer boxes (Dell, HP, Toshiba, etc) I wouldn't go near any of them. Ever. They have so much proprietary software that goes into a machine just to run it, you never know what may be messing with your setup. None of them are at all built with an audio or video professional in mind.

A custom build is easily the best way to go, because you know exactly what is going into your system, and you will save a lot of money in the short and long run.

Now, I'm not saying you should build a whole new system just for Pro Tools at this point, but for future reference... don't buy a Dell.

I switched to Sonar X1, which in my opinion, is so much more intuitive, and easier to use. As an added bonus, no iLok required, so the program always launches instead of giving you the "no iLok found"error, "no audio interface detected" error, "No midi controller found" error, etc......

I want to make music, not spend my time troubleshooting software.

Hey botfly,

We realize this might be too late if you have already moved on. Here's some info just in case you want to take another shot at it...

Computer 1 shows Windows XP Media Center Edition. This OS version has never been supported due to performance issues found during testing. Pro Tools LE 8.x supports the Pro or Home versions of XP. See kb208035

Computer 2 shows Windows 7, but you list Pro Tools LE 8.0.1 above. Support for Windows 7 was actually added in v8.0.4 which is a free update for 8.x owners. See kb365003
