weird korg r3 midi...

hey friends.
have never worked with a midikeyboard in pt s here my
"stupid" question .. hope u can help me.

i have a korg r3 synth and i just want the midi-information in pro tools to play
the db33.
i connected the r3 with usb to my lenovo t400
(btw im using pt8 and a 003rack).
created a midi, an instrument and a masterfader-track.
miditrack input: korg r3 keyboard.
miditrack output: db33
instrumenttrack : db33
out to the analogouts.

when i play i cant see the notes in the miditracks, and cant hear nothing during recordready or during recording.

when i record, the notes are being recorded and in playback the notes are being played through the db33 correctly.

so what is the problem here?? some adjustment or setting?

in cubase everything works fine. in playback-mode in protools too..
so it cant be up to the korg r3, it must be a pro tools setting-issue.

Do you have MIDI Thru enabled in the Options menu?

i am having the exact same problem with the R3 also connected via USB... i'm not receiving any MIDI in pro-tools, but works in other programs....

using HD 7.4

I tried with both MIDI Thru on and off...no cigar...

Is it possible to connect R3 via MIDI I/O inputs through MBOX2?

I am horrible with MIDI and had my Korg R3 work fine when it was connected via it's USB port, but it seems that Pro Tools (and other programs as well) unable to locate Korg R3...

I already searched a lot and for some reason can't find anything, any suggestions?
