The DUC is at least persistent and searchable.

Every week new users ask the same questions, and the same answers get pointed out....

Then the way it has run for years works for more regular users.

AVID made the Link Lounge. I think when that works better, more like a forum and less like a feed wall, it would be good for AVID to moderate, and it could be a great alternate stream....

A random person's Discord though, or AVID managed Discord... frankly no thanks.

I'd rather keep my separate DUC.avid.com account, which works. I use Tapatalk on my mobile.

Works fine, never had a problem with it........MUCH more visually 'simple' and easy to get to the point , than discord, which is a visual mess.....

nah..... between the search-ability, subscribing to posts, and the ability to just click on the "New Posts" title and see what's new (and relevant to me) I prefer it to the notification garbage overwhelm of those newer platforms. Slack's fine if you're working on a. specific project with people, and Discord is fine if you're... actually I'm not sure what it's great for. Siloing discussions away from search engines?

Sometimes I love dinosaurs. Compared to the Facebook pro tools user group with every other day a post about which plugin is best for rap vocals, the good old duc is a breeze.

Right. Not just that but I run an online forum for users of another DAW and I've noticed less traffic due to Facebook groups. But the thing is... all the content of a Facebook group belongs to Meta. You're completely at their mercy. Not a good trade off, IMHO.

I like the simplicity of this forum. Much easier to search. I wouldn't change anything.

You know the old saying. Don't fix what isn't broke.

What he said. If you have a better idea, now’s the time.
