Click II and trim plugins missing since upgrading from pt11 to 12
downloaded and installed the pt 12 upgrade (from PT 11) installed and overwrote pt 11
downloaded and ran the installer for FirstAIREffects it gave an error saying i needed to uninstal the old plugins first. did this installed FirstAIREffects opened a project in PT 12 and it gave a warning "Click II and Trim Plugins missing" asks if i want to purchase, i say yes i get an error message in the window that appears when i say "create a click track" in a project i get an error message that says there is no click plugin any advice will be appreciated. thank you |

How did you remove the AIR plug-ins? You may have inadvertently deleted others along with it.
Installing over another version of Pro Tools (in my experience) can be less than ideal. What OS are you running? You may want to try fully uninstalling Pro Tools, then installing 12. Then install the AIR effects and instruments etc.

i have pro tools running on my MacBook Pro (Yosemite) and my studio computer (Windows 7). the Mac didn't give any such error messages. the problem was on the Windows machine. i used the remove programs and features app in the windows control panel. not that they are gone i can't remember exactly what the things i uninstalled were named. but they were close to what the error message said needed to be uninstalled first. i will investigate further and try your suggestions. thanks! |

Uninstalling everything and reinstalling PT12 worked. all is as it should be on my Windows machine.
