Re: The Best Interface for Pro Tools 10 HD
OK
You need to register that PT version in your Avid account so you can get the updates. 10.3.0 is an old version and you need to download a newer version. Did they send an ilok1 key with PT10HD on it to you? What did they do regarding regaitration as you wont be able to get update installers etc otherwise?

Re: The Best Interface for Pro Tools 10 HD
Lots to consider here. assuming you get your own iLok account setup, and get the license for 10HD transferred to your account, and finally deposited onto your iLok, you can load up the software, but details of your computer and OS might require a specific version of PT.
As for an interface, I suggest avoiding M-audio completely. since you only need 2 inputs(and forget TDM as it only relates to HD cards, which you don't have), I would suggest a used Mbox 3 PRO(if you have a firewire port on your computer) or Mbox 3 if you only have USB. Some other options include MOTU, RME and Focusrite, but its tough to offer specific advice without knowing what computer and exact OS you are running(and be aware that not all computers are suitable for Pro Tools)

http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-Avid-Mbo...item4aecb2567a Its really affordable yet perfectly suitable for PT 32bit systems. On the other hand it probably will not work with future OS and Pro Tools systems anymore. No problem if you intend to stick with your current version of PT though. However if you could invest more and would like to get some future-proof stuff you will be able to use with current/future 64bit systems as well, RME is great stuff for the use with Windows systems for example. This one is the most affordable RME interface yet the most current release from RME. Its brand new and really high quality! http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/BabyfacePro |
