Default Lost Ilok, ASC Doesnt work.

Summary: I bought an Avid ASC. Neither the website nor their phone system accepts the code. Somebody please give me some help, I don't know where else to turn.

I lost my iLok. Every manufacturer except Avid has been great. You email, and they hook you up. Avid wants me to purchase a €36 ASC? Whatever. I pay their €36 Avid tax. I get the activation code and plug it into my Avid account. I then receive my ASC in my email. I enter my shiny new ASC code into Avid's account and...

"Invalid User." I resist the urge drive up to Mountain View and yell at people. I wait until the telephone lines open up at 8am PST. I call. I enter my ASC. It says the ASC has already been used.

Resisting the urge to drive up to Mountain View and really yell at people.

I, like many of you, have been a Pro Tools user for over a decade. I'm a pretty stereotypical fanboy. I've put a lot of money over the years into Digidesign and then Avid. It's part of my daily life and I'll fight to the death before switching DAWs. Until today. This is wrong.

On a more productive note, how do I get a hold of anybody when my ASC doesn't work? I'm not about to buy another ASC.

Welcome to the community.

Handled this via support case, please check your email and iLok account. And to clarify what happened with the code, you bought a Service Transfer/Replacement Fee not an Avid Support Code. Customers are directed to purchase the former after contacting Avid CS if needed as stated with the item on the store.

I did however purchased a ASC code. The service transfer fee was from last week. Anyways, I can start Pro Tools again with my new iLok, Thank you so much!!!!

Glad to hear you are up and running! I didn't see an Avid Support Code in your account so please reply to the case notice you should have received (at the same email address used here for the community) so I can look into this. Thanks.
