I would have said that too hadn’t the OP said no eucon device.

But thanks for the suggestion:)

Command 8 is a Pro Tools integrated controller like C|24 or 003 etc. but can be used with other software in HUI mode.

However if it's too big...

Hopefully she didn’t say ”sadly it’s too big”

I guess that can be a problem as well... oh well. Back on track

I think I will write icon and ask them more about the unit and hui or at least read through their manual.

Will report back.
Side note: the reason I want this is because I have been looking into recording drums in a new way. Been looking a lot at tchad Blake and the way he does things.
Super inspiring! Will have to pay to watch some “mix with the masters” videos.
Highly recommend looking into what he an Sylvia Massey are doing.

Experimented a bit myself yesterday and it was just one of those times where you find new ways of doing old things, and it’s like starting all over in audio again (in the good way. Feeling excitement again).

I should be pushing S1....but if its all you can afford you would be crazy not to get an Artist Mix (Under $300 on ebay) Not only do you have All the EUCON features and the tie in to the Control App, EUCON is still updated unlike HUI. I bet you would start to use more of the features too once you got used to it.

Thanks. Might just end up with that but we will see.
The old silver models and the newer black versions are the same, right?

The silver ones are out of Support meaning if they go wrong you wont be able to send in to Avid for repair....but the cost of repair would be more than the current 2nd hand price anyway.
