I'm planning to run Reason 5 + Record 1.5 Rewired to alot of Pro Tools Channels (24 - 32) and lots of RTAS as well So my question is what CPU , RAM Amount, Motherboard, Graphics Card, Cooling system, 64 bit or 32 bit system? One last crazy Q are there any motherboards to support Dual Quadcore i want this beast to be faster than jesous n Godd put together look foward to some replies please www.revampedproductions.com.au |

Re: I Need Some Advice On My Upgrade
Your budget will be the deciding factor here. Look at the "i7 Builds" thread in the Windows/LE section as the i7 950 on an X58 motherboard is the top dog for now. Dual quads(assuming there is a compatible mobo) will cost a pretty penny and AMD systems are solid on a budget. The i7 950 seems to be the best bang for the buck, but the 980X 6 core is killer if you can afford it

Re: I Need Some Advice On My Upgrade
The newer AMD systems are all right, just not as fast as Intel. But cost less.

Re: I Need Some Advice On My Upgrade
ok thanxxx
i just reserched Intel i7 990X http://ark.intel.com/Product.aspx?id=52585 yeh extremley pricey but i want this PC to last me another 6 years like my P4 did. 990X & 980X have 12 mb cache - how does this affect Pro Tools 9 Performance ? is 8 gig of Ram the minimum amount to run this processor? |
