Default buffer underflow -6085 firewire device, but i have mbox 2 usb?

hey everyone!

so i have a msi x58 mobo with a core i7 windows computer with a mbox 2.

i was running my pro tools 8.0 at 64 buffer seconds with a bunch of plugins for a couple of years! and everything was sooo smooth! i tried to update to 8.03 a couple times and it never worked for me. pro tools would never open. i always just stayed with 8.0 when 8.0.4 came out i tried to upgrade to that and when i would start pro tools i would get these messages out of the ordinary "dae error buffer underflowed firewire". I tried to change usb ports, update my bios, uninstall pro tools, everything! so i just went back to 8.0 and it worked ok. im tired of 8.0 and having to always close pro tools to open up another program so i bought windows 7 64 bit thinking upgrading my os would fix my problem! well its even worse! when i open pro tools no session open im at 7% already rtas system usage? i open up a session and all my meters are choppy, my system usage disk usage is at 40% and my rtas is up really high and im not even using 1/8th of the ammount of plugins i used to use when i didnt have this problem! i tried formatting my audio drive, disabling all my firewire drives in device manager! everything! why am i getting the "6085 dae buffer underflowed error please disconnect some firewire" when i am not using anything firewire? someone please help me ive searched all throughout the DUC google everywhere no one has this problem but me!

thanks,
nic

You REALLY should post the specs of your system. We can't even begin to help you without details.

-6085 errors can be linked to a number of incompatibilities and configuration errors (like running with a wireless network card enabled, or using the system drive to record to), but without details about your system... well...

Looking at the Sandra report, something jumps out immediately:

This drive that you are using for "Audio" is too slow to use for Pro Tools audio sessions. The drive needs to be at least 7200rpm. That alone could cause the error that you are getting.
