Default MC524 not responding to serial

Hi S5 people

I'm stuck on build at getting the MC524 to work. I've taken the unit to a working facility so I know it's not a faulty unit.

I'm certain I have the 90 pin audio wired correctly

But...it's not passing audio to my monitors

I've run a 40m db15 cable from control room to mcr...pretty sure this is not the problem

The Serial Port Activity LED on the MC524 board(s) is not responding to commands from the console; it did when I tested it on the other system5, which leads me to believe there is an issue with either a set up/ configuration for the TCC board on the system computer or that the TCC board is faulty.

I've looked at the device manager on the System PC, but it's unclear which device is the actual TCC board...does anybody know?

Guidance on installation of this unit in the Euphonix/Avid guides amounts to a few sentences, and certainly cover troubleshooting this unit.

I'm at a loss...any and all suggestions greatly appreciated

Robin
