Default BIG Problem Installing MBOX

We'll I just spent 2 hours trying to fix this issue. I had a bad usb wireless mouse and I ended up having to troubleshoot it to determine it was bad. We'll I ended up uninstalling all of my usb device and of course one of them was the mbox.

So after trying to reinstalling the mbox, it will find it and install it as an "USB Composite Device" and it installs correctly in the device manager without a problem, and then after that it will find two other devices. Called "Mbox USB Audio Device copyrighted digidesign 2001" but it's unable to find there drivers and fully install them.

I have uninstalled them and reinstalled over 50 times and same issue occurs. It's basically not finding the USB mass storage drivers. I have came across this issue once in the past and I think I recall just uninstalling and then reinstalling the mbox and it worked. I know someone has came across this before, please help?

Uninstall PT's again..Then search for and delete all instances of the file Dalwdm.sys .Then reinstall Protools. Make sure you search in hidden folders as well. That may do it.

Bazzle,

Are you asking me to uninstall and reinstall Protools application software? Because I doubt this is a issue with the software. In my last message I stated that I uninstalled and reinstalled the devices under the device manager. I have never touched the software application yet.

Yes just uninstall the software from ADD/REMOVE programs then do what I said about the Dalwdm.sys file..It can do no harm.Just do it! Trust me.

Uninstalling then reinstalling the software with the Mbox attached after deleting the Dalwdm.sys files should put you good to go..You will not lose any sessions or audio files.
