Avid/Digidesign paid RTAS plug-ins

Is there any word on what will become of some of the Digidesign/Avid paid plug-ins? A move from RTAS to the new AAX format in the works before Pro Tools 11 does away with RTAS?

Of the top of my head, my question is what is going to become of plugs like:

• Tel-Ray suite
• TL Space
• Smack
• Eleven LE
• Reel Tape suite

These, or at least a good portion of them will be re-released as AAX plug-ins.

I suspect you will see most of the popular plugs from Avid updated. Whether or not some of the oddball ones like Tel-Ray, Cosmonaut Voice, Funk Logic, Synchronic make the trip remains to be seen. I think anything remotely popular will get converted to AAX.

Note: Its very unlikely that any of the II series plugs like EQ II and Dynamics II are going to make it. Digi stopped development of those plugs back in the 7.x era. Digis recommendation to replace them with EQ III and Dynamics III seems to fall on deaf ears with each upgrade cycle. I'm going to guess that this is your last chance to convert any important sessions that use the II series plugs.
