Running PT9 HD away from hardware
So - I own three systems. 2 HD rigs at work - one LE at home.
If I'm not mistaken. If I upgrade one of the HD rigs to 9 immediately. I can install the PT9 HD software at home and run it with my ilok from work. My work computers won't support PT9 yet. The idea being that instead of spending $250 upgrading my LE. I'll be able to use the full features for $350. Eventually I will upgrade all three. Just trying to decide whether it makes sense to upgrade LE first or at least one HD first. ?? |

Re: Running PT9 HD away from hardware
bounce.
I think the answer is - upgrade an HD license first and use it instead of my LE rig at home (then upgrade LE when I need to use PT9 at home at the same time BOTH of my TDM rigs are in use). any insights? anything wrong with this plan? |

Complete Production Toolkit 2 Authorization A Complete Production Toolkit 2 authorization (in addition to Pro Tools 9.0 authorization) lets you run Pro Tools 9.0 with Complete Produc- tion Toolkit 2 functionality. Re: Running PT9 HD away from hardware
I am not reading that PT9HD runs Core Audio?

Re: Running PT9 HD away from hardware
It does. You just switch the "Current Engine" to a core audio engine like "Pro Tools Aggregate." Of course, you'll lose TDM functionality if you do.
