Routing question - Mic pre, Digimax LT & 002 Rack

I'm going into the Voiceworks with a mic, and out of its analog outputs to either the Digimax LT or 002 Rack. I guess I'm concerned because the Voiceworks has a pre, and I'll be going into another pre.

Any benefit to routing to the 002 Rack vs.r Digimax LT? And if I go into the 002 Rack, should I use inputs 1-4 or 5-8?

Or would it be best to route this via S/PDIF?

If the TC has SPDIF out, that would be best. Second choice for me would be patching to 5-8 on the 002, but I would try it thru the Digimax if it has line inputs or insert returns(I don't have one so I don't know). The reason for trying that would be to see if the Digimax converters sound better to you. If you use SPDIF, you need to sync everything together somehow to avoid clicks and pops.

I'll go with the S/PDIF. The Voiceworks has a word clock input, so I can sync it with the Digimax, which is my master clock at the moment.
